Speedy article compilation

  • It is possible to search on the Tokyo headquarters morning edition main news sections (Comprehensive, Economics, International, Society, etc.) by 9:00 AM of the current day.
  • All other news from the Tokyo headquarters morning edition is available at noontime, and the evening edition is searchable from 7:00 PM.
  • Each regional edition is searchable from evening of the current day until the following morning.
  • Proprietary articles from other main editions (Osaka headquarters, Nagoya headquarters, Seibu headquarters, Hokkaido branch headquarters) are compiled within 2 to 3 days.
  • The Asahi Shimbun Digital is compiled once a week (Friday).
  • AERA is compiled approximately 1 week after publication.
  • Compilation may be delayed during year end, New Years and Golden Week.

Regarding headings

Parentheses () at the beginning and ending of headings indicate regular columns and serialized story titles.

Headings that end with【大阪】(【Osaka】)【西部】(【Seibu】)【名古屋】(【Nagoya】)【北海道】(【Hokkaido】)indicate articles that appear only in the Osaka, Seibu, Nagoya and Hokkaido branch headquarters editions.
【大阪*】(【Osaka*】)indicates articles that appear only in the Osaka early edition (the edition before the final edition).
In addition, the regional editions display /東京( /Tokyo) to indicate the names of the prefectural and city governments. (After January, 1993)

In the case of the correction of errors after an article has been compiled,[=訂正あり]( [=corrected] )will be displayed after the heading and the correction itself will be appended to the full text.
